This outfit was inspired by fall trends I've seen on all social media platforms. The basic concept of this outfit is to resemble a school girl/uniform outfit, which is kind of flirty and fun way to dress.

The Button Up is from my hometown thrift store, it's a 90's Yves Saint Laurent button down that I purchased for a single dollar. The first time I saw it there I left it behind thinking I wouldn't really wear it, but the very next day I went back and luckily it was still right where I left it! I love this top because its very well made, it has a structured collar, and it looks great layered under anything. Leaving one side untucked provides some asymmetry, adding interest to this outfit.

The Vest is from Arc Thrift. It is a gorgeous vintage wool sweater that I like to tuck under itself for a cropped look.

The Bag I got second hand off Depop. It was perfect because I was looking for something with zebra print. I love the crescent moon shape of it (I apologize you can't see the shape in this photo). It is the perfect shoulder bag. This bag adds a small pop of pattern to this neutrally toned outfit.

The Skirt is one of my all time favorite thrift finds! I found two years ago at Arc thrift store. It is the ideal pleated skirt. Since it has no waistband, the pleats go all the way from the top to the bottom. The brand is Theory which is a very nice contemporary brand, and I found it for only two dollars! This brand normally retails its products between $100-1000.

The Shoes are from a second-hand consignment store in Boulder. I got them a couple of years ago shopping with my mom. They are the most gorgeous Maison Margiela boots! They were brand new, nothing wrong with them at the consignment store. A truly great find considering they're still currently on the Margiela website for over $1000. I paid $80! These boots go with so many outfits. They have a three inch heel, meaning they are comfortable enough to wear everyday, yet still have a high fashion aesthetic.

This outfit is so cute and basic. While this photograph doesn't capture it, this dress is a gorgeous key-lime color. I love monochromatic outfits, especially ones that are this tone. It has been a personal favorite recently.

The Dress is from the lovely Aussie brand, Holiday The Label. I rarely buy things new, and if I do it's from a sustainable brand like this one. It is a linen checker print dress that has a vintage fit to it, so it is easy to slip on and go.

The Bag is from Arc thrift store. It is a gorgeous lime, vintage leather shoulder bag. It perfectly fits everything I need. I used to wear only crossbody bags, but recently I have been loving a shoulder bag.

The Shoes, while you can barely see them, everyone needs a good basic white sneaker. I've personally never been a fan of the Nike Air Force Ones because I see them everywhere. Also, I wanted a shoe that wasn't as chunky. These sneakers are from United Apparel Liquidators (UAL) in Nashville. I got them a couple of years ago with my friend Ella on a birthday trip to Nashville. Every time I wear them they remind me of how fun and spontaneous that trip was. They are Common Projects which retail for about $500, UAL had them brand new in the box for $100. That's why I LOVE UAL!

This outfit is so simple, but I love it so much. In the fashion industry, uniform is black from head to toe. I love wearing all black for two reasons. First, because it's easy to blend in with any color and not worry about clashing. Secondly, when I am sporting black head to toe, my boyfriend and I match.

The Top is something I feel like I've seen everywhere lately. It is a cardigan top with one single tie closure. Luckily I found mine at a thrift store a couple of years ago before it was a trend. At first it sat in my closet for quite some time because it was knee length. Then I had the idea to crop it! Ever since, it has been in a regular rotation in my closet. Sometimes altering one small detail on a piece of clothing can change it from something you never wear to something you always wear.

The Pants are from a second-hand consignment store in Boulder, Colorado. I used to go to Boulder all the time because the consignment stores there are incredible. These pants are all leather, and I only buy leather second hand, so this was perfect. This was another piece I bought a couple years ago, before it became trendy this fall. Since Aritzia came out with the leather Melina pant, leather pants have become incredibly popular. When I checked out with the owner of the shop she was shocked she had marked them so low. She didn't realize they were real leather pants until I told her. I was able to snag these for $70 dollars, much cheaper than what they retail for.

The Shoes are vintage Doc Martens made in England. I got them at arguably the coolest vintage store ever, Goldmine Vintage in Denver, Colorado for only $45. I couldn't let go of them as soon as I saw them. I've been searching for vintage Doc Martens like these for such a long time. I will admit they are hard to style, as the stark black and white contrast makes it hard to wear with most things, in my opinion. I really like how they look with the leather pants and black top. I think monochromatic black outfits pair best with these shoes. While these shoes are hard to style, I love a good challenge when it comes to incorporating something unique like these Doc Martens.

Shopping second hand, whether thrift or consignment, is becoming incredibly popular. It's a great concept to see items people no longer want become a treasure to someone else. I've been lucky to find some truly incredible items this way.
